September 2010 Ψk Conference 2010   Event-Datum: 12 September 2010 - 16 September 2010 Ort: Berlin - Henry-Ford Bau   The Ψk-2010 conference will take place in Berlin, Germany, from September 12 to 16. It starts with registration on Sunday, September 12 at 2:00 p.m., and the first scientific talk is scheduled for Monday, September 13 at 8:30 a.m. The program ends on Thursday, September 16 at 4:00 p.m. Like the three previous Ψk meetings (1996, 2000, 2005), Ψk-2010 will cover theoretical and computational research on electronic structure and properties of matter, ranging from novel basic concepts and methods to applications for condensed matter and real functional materials to systems of biological interest. Ψk-2010 aims at fostering scientific exchange and outreach. The format includes about 5 plenary lectures and topical symposia with about 100 invited talks as well as many contributed talks and a poster session. With more than 600 participants expected, it will be a key event for senior and junior colleagues in the field, offering an atmosphere of intense and enjoyable work as well as chances to explore the vibrant city of Berlin.
