: Responsibilities:

* Prospect, identify, qualify and develop sales pipeline
* Close business to meet monthly, quarterly and annual revenue objectives
* Partner with Inside Sales to maximize coverage across entire territory.
* Ensure all strategic and target accounts are fully aware of MySQL products and services
* Enhance business relationships to leverage additional opportunities
* Work closely with MySQL Professional Services to reach services revenue goals and ensure customer satisfaction
* Provide timely and accurate CRM and management reports as requested
* Establish new customers focusing primarily on Fortune 1000/Times 1000 organisations, large and emerging web-property organizations, as well as government agencies
* Increase sales to existing customer base
* Sell complete solutions of software, professional services, training and support to enhance the customers ability to succeed
* Work with MySQL Marketing to conduct seminars, webinars, assist with trade shows, and other marketing related events in territory.
* Travel to customer locations, marketing events, and internal MySQL events as required
* Exercise prudent expense controls

Qualifications:


Requirements

* MANDATORY - 5-7 years experience in software sales, with 3-5 years database sales preferred
* Candidate must be located in designated territory
* High-tech background including database and infrastructure software experience
* MANDATORY - Demonstrated history of regular goal achievement in highly competitive environment (top 20% performer) with objectives in excess of US$1.5M p.a
* MANDATORY - Experienced in opening up new markets for a start-up or high growth company
* Entrepreneurial in creating and closing opportunities.
* Energetic, upbeat, tenacious team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Successful experience selling into both technical user base and CxO levels
* Excellent multi-tasking skills: Ability to drive a portfolio approach to territory management
* Outstanding relationship building skills with responsiveness and integrity
* MANDATORY- Familiarity with database, application/web server, and other enterprise markets and technologies
* Highly mobile, with experience of driving business whilst on the move
