Job Summary:
Responsible for achieving and maximizing assigned territory revenue goals for Sun's xVM/Vitualization software solutions. This is a senior individual contributor sales role that provides sales expertise for these solutions and engages our successful, proven sales model to drive sales revenue. This individual will also fully leverage and closely collaborate with the extended Sun team in achieving these revenue objectives. Current territory assignments include Germany
Primary Roles:
Software Sales Specialist – xVM/Virtualization
Key responsibilities include demand generation and the identification and qualification of xVM/Virtualization opportunities, along with effective pipeline management and the successful closure and implementation of qualified opportunities. Also responsible for the generation and sustained maintenance of successful reference customers for xVM/Virtualization. This individual will leverage and work in close collaboration with the extended Sun sales team to achieve these objectives.
Other responsibilities include the crafting of competitive proposals and effective RFP/RFI responses when required. Will also provide competitive positioning expertise and compelling xVM/Virtualization value propositions that meet and/or exceed customer objectives.
Sun xVM/Virtualization Sales Strategist:
Responsible for a sales plan to drive goal attainment.
Leads and coordinates virtual teams within the larger Sun organization. Creates account and regional sales development strategies
needed to deliver a competitive advantage and generate
incremental revenue growth. Includes collaborating and
creating strategies with and for Sun sales partners.
Secondary Roles:
Performs and fulfills portions of any of the following situational
roles: sales account planner, solution designer, sales team lead,
and customer advocate.

Roles and Responsibilities
* Provide specialized xVM/Virtualization software (known as xVM Ops Center and xVM Virtualization Server) sales expertise for all supported platforms and the successful execution of our proven sale models.
* Able to build credibility with prospects, customers, and extended Sun team members by clearly articulating a complete understanding of customers'/prospects' business issues/pains and how Sun's unique xVM Ops Center and Virtualization Server solutions effectively addresses these pain points better than the competition.
*Able to craft and present an effective ROI which helps propects/customers justify the purchase of the xVM Ops Center and Virtualization server.
*Responsible for defining and driving the sales strategy within
assigned territory to achieve and maximize product/service revenue goals.
*Drive planning and forecasting activities.
*Responsible for all aspects of pipeline management and
forecasting (from demand generation, opportunity creation and identification/qualification, and successful sales closure and implementation).

Education: Bachelor Degree: Computer Science, Business Administration Finance, Marketing
Experience: Minimum 8 yrs computer OS/SW sales, sales management, field/product engineering/marketing experience.
