Summary	:	As a part of the Startups and Emerging Markets Team in Market Development, the primary responsibility is to be the business driver for the Startup Essentials program in Germany (and possibly other EMEA countries) targeting Web 2.0 startups.
Description, Skills, Education & Experience	:	ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: As a part of the Startups and Emerging Markets Team in Market Development, the primary responsibility is to be the business driver for the Startup Essentials program in Germany (and possibly other EMEA countries) targeting Web 2.0 startups. The responsibility will include working with key influencers in the startup community. Channel, Sales. Interacting with key startups to drive adoption of Sun technologies. Engage with telesales to monitor status and devise strategies to maximize adoption. Typically such experience can be gained in strategic business development, consulting, sales engineering and other similar business functions. Job Requirements REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of core marketing tactics and activities related to this target market. Strong customer facing skills. Results orientation. Problem solver. Technical and business acumen to play an advisory role to startups. Business development. Strategic thinking. Strong influencing skills to leverage others internal organizations. High ambiguity tolerance and ability to cope in a fast changing environment. Business and technology requirements of Web 2.0 companies and insights into technology market and market trends. Capable of applying product and technical knowledge to propose solutions and resolve business issues. Cross functional teaming skills. Ability to work in a diverse virtual team environment with ability to drive agenda and achieve results. Good insights into technology markets and market trends. PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE: Understanding of startup market and requirements. Marketing skills. Presentation skills. Project management of numerous community development events and other marketing projects.
